BOOKARCHO

The task at hand was to come up with a catchy & dynamic visual language for an up-and-coming architectural website to use across various digital platforms. With soft circles & geometric patterns, the intent behind the explorations was to develop a timeless & memorable aesthetic.

2022 Common Era

Much of the exploration for Bookarcho was done with the intent of achieving a visual language having a memorable quality and a sense of timelessness. Even prior to joining the team, it is to be noted that much of Bookarcho’s aesthetics were rooted in minimalism, geometry and a simple monochromatic palette with a sleak and narrow form reflected on logotypes and icons. Being tasked with creating web content for the same, explorations were done with the logo itself – rectifying the same and creating a typeface to use to make the content. Two themes – one in monochrome and another in pop colours had been explored. In additions, various curations of circles were explored to present the unique symmetrical logo in a catchy format. Inspirations were drawn from many a minimal poster from the Bauhaus movement. Curations and insights from various architecture broadcasting platforms were studied over a period of time to generate a methodology for curating web content and to get an assessment of how various facets of architecture were promoted on these platforms, how certain content performed and to understand any pattern to these curations, if any. Base methods for presenting the content as well grid layouts for the same had been generated through this research.
